problems with the hypertech programmer

today i was talking to this girl about the hypertech programmer her boyfriend has on his TA and she said that it has caused him problems and it wasnt a good thing to buy. i had thought it was one of the best things to buy and my question is, are there any side affects to buying the programmer????

Ditto what BLKTA said. If you're battery conks out while programming you might be left with a car that won't run w/o a pcm reflash.

Yep make sure the battery is FULL. Mine died during the process and ended up with a two ton rock for a car. Had to get pcm reflased.
