Throttle position angle throwing out different percentages

Throttle position angle throwing out different percentages A few days a go, I Auto-tapped the car and found out my Throttle Position Angle isn't at 100% at all times. The numbers keep jumping around everywhere. They range from 84% to 94% and sometimes reach 100%. I took the average number from two of my 1/4 runs...one was 86.9% and the other which was better was 97.6% (car felt stronger too). So, what can be causing this <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Throttle position angle throwing out different percentages Your throttle opening if the output value of the TPS in DC voltage. If you have a flaky TPS you might get different values from time to time at the SAME throttle opening. You can use a Digital VOM to verify that the output of the TPS is consistent. The DC voltage you read on your meter should be linear as you crack the throttle plate open.
