Why is my car throwing the cmp sensor circuit code p0340

Why is my car throwing the cmp sensor circuit code p0340 ??? its throwing p0340 which is the cam positioning circuit. Why is this happening?Thanks

If you figure out what is going on let me know. I swapped my cam position sensor and the code remains.

I am going to rewire everything to the sensor in the spring and get a new pigtail connector.
