Default Auto trany question

I have a fully race built 4L60E tranny with a shift kit. In setting the shift speed/delay, the stock setting is 0.5 seconds. How low can you go without seriously hurting the tranny? I know 0 will shift the car as fast as possible...will this drastically degrade the life of the transmission? Thanks!

LOL that kindof an oxy moron, NO?

I seen all the different companys "race built" 4L60E's blow up......
about your question I dunno... good luck I'd be nice to the tranny though i.e. don't press your luck(if I were you)

Well it depends on how blueprinted the tranny was. If its built perfect you should be able to shift as fast as zero delay and this would be good for the transmission but if it isnt built just perfect could shift into the next gear before it even shift out of the previous gear causing gear bind kinda like what a transbrake does and locks two gears in at the same time

I lowered it to 0.4 for now...I might go as low as 0.25 but not too much lower.

BTW, I know all about breaking "built" trannies. This is number three for me....came with a 1 year warranty. If I make it that far, it'll be a record for me!
