SES light help

SES light help Ok guys, I know this isnt the right place to put this, but its the only forum about computers. First off my car is stock, NO MODS. I was driving on the highway and I got a nice open stretch of road, so I nailed it and got it up to 130 mph....then I drifted slow back to 70 because I saw a car. After I passed the car I nailed it again and got it back up to 130, but this time right when I hit 130 my ses light came on, it was flashin at first, but when I got back down to speed limit which is 65 it went solid. Ive restarted the car twice since then and it didnt go off <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> . Its also 19 or so degrees out side. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

Re: SES light help If it was flashing, there's a good chance it was an ignition problem. First thing I would do is check all the spark plug/coil boots and make sure one didn't come loose.

If so then re-set it
Turn Ignition on (do not start the car)
Pull the PCM Bat, and PCM Ign fuse in the engine compartnemt
Wait about a min.
Replace the fuses
Trun the ign off
Wait about a min
And start the car.
If the light does not come back on it is probably not a big deal, if it does come back on it should be looked at.

Re: SES light help the code is p0300, which they said was a multiple cylinder misfire, but it doesnt seem to be misfiring, so I dunno, its still under warranty, at least with ford it is anyway, I bought it used from a ford dealership.
Re: SES light help Well if you had a new CAM I would say welcome to the club of the p0300.
Either you got really really bad gas, or like was posted above you have a loose spark plug wire. Most likely there is one that wiggled loose, make sure and check that all are connected. If any click when you push, then most likely that was the one.
I just went through this exact same thing about a month ago, but mine was more due to the CAM making my engine dance before tuning <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I would honestly recommend reseating all of them just to be sure.
