MAFT needed with LS1 Edit???

MAFT needed with LS1 Edit??? I'm running lean - 14 then after retard it swings to rich - high 11's / low 12's. I'm getting LS1 edit and EFILive but do I need a maft or would I be able to tune in correct mixture?
Mods- free Air cutout / K&N / De-screened MAF.
X-MAS mods: Pullies/Lid/Bellows/SLP 'y' pipe/QTEC/160* thermostat/EFILive and LS1 edit tuning.

Re: MAFT needed with LS1 Edit??? What does the MAFT do? It changes the frequency going in to the PCM so that you tell the PCM a different g/sec in the fuel curve than the stock reading would have.
LS1Edit allows you to change this curve (frequency vs. g/sec) by entering a new value in the table. The MAFT only works across "chunks" of the curve (or scales the whole curve). LS1Edit allows you to tweak any point on the curve.
So no, you do not need a MAFT with LS1Edit.
