from what i hear, you much better of spending your money on one of those chips you can buy on ebay that states "20+ HP". or better yet buy something useful like bricks.... all kidding aside. From what i've read your better off saving your money and either buying a "real" tuning software package, as in HPTuners or EFILive (i recommend this one). These programs are more expensive but much more customizable, and allow you to do things that you can only dream of doing with the hypertech.

Honestly most people say that there are little to no gains to be had with the hypertech. Your money would be much better spent on other mods.
I have one that came with my car (99 t/a) which would work for your car (if you really think that you need one) that I'll sell you for $125 shipped. I will probably put it on ebay and sell it eventually since it really is a waste of money for the ls1 and the ebayers don't know any better than what the hypertech marketing BS tells them.

Does very little for HP gains. I only have one for my '98 because at the time it was the only hand-held tuner you could get for a '98 and all I wanted to change on that car was shift points and fan temps. Plus I got a hell of a deal, something like $120 for a brand new unit....
