Default Hi flow cat??????

I have Random Tech Hi flow cats and I keep getting a code a 420 code (catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 1) from the PCM and the dealer says it's the cats. Thats fine but if it was the cats wouldn't it set a 430 which is the same thing but bank 2?????? I sent Random Tech a Email as well but I thought somebody might have some experience with thids problem. Thanks in Advance.....Scott

I had the same code and I also run the RT cats. I have gotten it approx. 4 times in the last 4 months at random times. It started when I had the cat's welded into my Mac ORP. I installed the cat on the driver side (Bank 1) further back than OEM. I think this is the cause of the code...the change of O2 location aft cat is probably picking up "adjusted" numbers but does'nt know it had moved. BTW, not a problem I am worried about. Just clear it...and <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
Good Hunting.
