Default "fast data packets"???

on an EASE diag. scan tool, there is a setting where you could stop/ disable fast data packets, should i use this to get more sampling?

Check the baud rate on your comm port. By default, windows sets this to 9600bps. Set the rate to max. It made a difference on my little 366mhz laptop. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
Good luck,

1. via options turn off scanner from requesting if there is DTCs during recording or realtime graphs this gives more bandwidth of connection to requesting for PID info.

2. configure RS232 for a higher baud rate

3. hit advanced and make sure receive buffers are set high.

thanks black ls1 t/a ,
i found the port thingy , and i did find the bits per second setting ( not in the advanced tab)and it was set to 9600 . i tried to increase it to the max of 128000 but it keeps reverting to the 9600 setting???
i checked the advanced tab and all it had "recive buffer ( set to max) and recive buffer (also set to max)
what should i do?
