Why chance it. I uncheck the startup items in the systems config utility, turn off air con and radio and do not open windows while programming. Obsesive?

Re: Will Screen Saver mess up LS1Edit? I have my ss cut off, along with standby stuff. It's not running long enough to hurt anything.
And I cut the radio/fan off just so there's no battery draining happening.

Re: Will Screen Saver mess up LS1Edit? Disable the screen saver like it says. Follow instructions. It is rare that it will foul up the PCM by WHY would you want to take a chance? Beside, the programming is fast enough that your screen saver shouldn't even have time to come up. Set it for at least 15 minutes and you will be OK. Disabling it and anything else is best. Your PC will run faster too.
