Ghetto traction control?

Are there any PIDs that show the rotational speed of the front (non-drive) wheels? I was thinking something along the lines of ABS sensors, but I don't know if there are any PIDs that cover that.

I'm trying to be able to figure out in EFILive when my drive tires are free-spining and I'm having some difficulties figuring out how to go about it.

none that i'm aware of... at least not in the PCM (those are checked by the ABS system)

There are some cool tricks you can do with EFI Live in regards to tweaking the factory traction control. I've made a few and it's better than stock as long as my wheelspin isn't excessive. If it's too much, the motor really lies down.

It'd be really nice to have a decent traction control system like the ones on Motec EMUs or Race Logic. If the stock ECU can get even remotely close it'd be a definate advantage.

Missing Switch

can i plug in a traction control switch and have traction control? my car didn't come with it but there is a connector for it next to the convertible top switch. i don't know what else the car needs in order to have traction control.

AFAIK you can't just install the switch... for non TC cars the cable goes from the pedal direct to the TB I believe... whereas cars w/TCS have some additional parts... also I'm pretty sure the BCM in a car w/TCS is different (at least OS wise)
