Can Someone answer this?? Is there really a difference between hpp's of say the same car but different yrs as long as everythings the same?? Ie, 98-02 T/A 6spd. Or even between a 98 T/A or Camaro?? I know the manufacturer has different part numbers and all but what the heck would the difference be?? Same Engines, tranny's etc?? Is it just a money maker??

Re: Can Someone answer this?? I would imagine there's a difference. The '98 LS1s had 28lb/hr injectors. In '99 and maybe '00, they used 26lb/hr injectors. At some point they switched back. GM also changed cams, intakes, and removed the EGR system over the years. All of those could potentially affect the code needed in the HPP3s.

Re: Can Someone answer this?? I am selling my HPP3 for my '99 LS1 SS. To check on this point I called Rob Rymer, he told me that the HPP3 units are year specific. So mine will work on any 1999 LS1 Camaro/Firebird auto or M6.
So if your car is a 1998, you need to buy an HPP3 for 1998 cars.
