Delete BlackBox with LS1 Edit?
Delete BlackBox with LS1 Edit? A lot of people don't know that all F-Bodys, Corvettes and Vipers have blackboxes in the car. An insurance company can get the last 5 seconds of what the car was doing prior to a crash.
Is there any way to delete this fucntion out of the ECM?

Re: Delete BlackBox with LS1 Edit? No. There are no options under LS1Edit to do anything with 'outside' computers. If you're so concerned about it, just remove the boxes. Your engine will run just fine without ABS, the BCM, the DERM (black box), and all those other devices. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

2) Put the Fuel Enable Wire to ground (little dark blue one)
3) Hit a tree at 110 and see what your insurance company says.
