LS1Edit or wait for TunerCat?

LS1Edit or wait for TunerCat? I know with my luck, the friggin' day I purchase Ls1Edit, tunercat will be available for the LS1 for much less...
Anyone actually waiting to see what happens instead of buying LS1Edit?

Re: LS1Edit or wait for TunerCat? Same here, I was getting ready to spring for LS1Edit when I saw the other thread. I'm gonna wait and see what they can do!

I remember before LS1Edit was released. The company's bread and butter product, up till that point, was LT1Edit. If I remember correctly, the actual release date for LS1Edit was several months after the expected release date. The part that really bumbed me when it finally was released, however, was the price; LS1 edit is realitively cheap but this OBD II software is really very high-priced!
What is the expected price for the competing product? How many bugs does it have? Will it destroy my CPU? I read some early horror stories about units getting fried by bugs; hope this is not a problem with the competing product....

Re: LS1Edit or wait for TunerCat? I would say you get what you pay for. If you look at Tunercat their pre-OBDII pricing structure would indicate that this is not what pays their bills. Why has it taken so long to get into the OBDII arena when the LT1s have been OBDII since 1996? What indicators exist that they will now be motivated to provide full time support to OBDII applications?
The guys that produce LS1Edit are always available for questions via the mailing list. I see Ken replying every day. They are also keeping up with each model year and associated revisions.
The pricing structure really isn't as bad as people make it out to be for LS1Edit. Yes at 1 license it is a little pricey but the moment you add 2, 3, or 4 people it becomes a pretty good deal. I see people taking shortcuts all the time and more often than not it comes back to bite them.
