Default A little tuning help please...

I recently switched cams to the F1 from the TR224. I had it custom tuned with the 224, and things were great. When I put the F1 in, it ran great at first, but now it's being an SOB. Hot starts are a nightmare, and low rpm surging is horrible. I have the TB hole drilled to 3/16 right now. That seemed to be the magic number for the TR224 cam. The problem is, I am getting LS6 heads soon, and don't want to spend ANOTHER $600 to get it tuned now, and ANOTHER $600 after the heads are on. I'm not confident enough to buy Autotap and know how to read what is going on. I just need some direction on how I can get this buckin' cam settled down a bit. Gears are coming, so don't say that. I really need help on the hot starts. Should I drill the TB hole a little bigger?

The free solution is to drill the TB a little bit. It will raise the idle of course.

Sounds like you just need to back out some timing near idle to fix that bucking.

The ls6 heads will probably mix up the A/F a bit. Those one time tunes for $x00 dollars are a TERRIBLE deal! Just about anytime you make a change a little bit of tuning is needed.

I had mine tuned with the TR224, then when I went to the A4 from the M6 I had the rough idle/hot start problem. Mine turned out to be high IAC counts. For some reason when I installed the A4 w/program for A4 they jumped to 80 at park no load. I drilled the throttle body again to get them to 38, now all is well...

I'm at 3/16 right now.
