Idle timing and cam surge what MAP values to change it at?

Default Idle timing and cam surge what MAP values to change it at?

Is it goign to be low Kpa or high kPa that a car idles at? Can you throw me a range on a cammed car and stock car?

It depends whether you are talking Kpa vacuum, or Kpa absolute pressure.

I know, it is a pain in the ***, but there are both scales in LS1 Edit.

What are you trying to change? If you are looking to change timing, then you will probably have better luck modifying the High Octane Ignition Advance Table.

To make timing changes to your idle condition you will have to make changes in the lower g/cyl and RPM cells. Basically, the upper left hand corner. If you have autotap, or another form of scantool, then there are a couple calculations you can do to surgically alter your idle timing.

Like what calculations? i have Edit ATAP, pretty much eveythign at my disposal. I was messing with an LT1 car, wthcing timing at idle, rpm and then taking those values and see what kPa corrsponded with those values but that didnt work too well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

What are some expected voltage values or whatever the MAP outputs in ATAP at idle? What does this correpond to in kPA?
