what is Torque management

what is Torque management What is Torque management? How does it effect the perfomance of my car? Im thinking of ordering the predator i only have a lid and magnaflow catback <img border="0" alt="[worship]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> for mods. my car only has 1900 miles on it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . it will be a long time before i think about heavily modifing the car. i think the predator would work for my aplication but i dont understand Torque management at all.
Re: what is Torque management TM simply pulls timing on the shifts to reduce damage to the trans over time. If you log atap and watch your timing around the shifts it may go from say 26degrees down to -4 or so

Re: what is Torque management If i get the predator and firm up the shifts, increase line pressure would that compensate for the increased stress (trany slipping on the soft shifts)after removing the Torque management? or would the harder hitting transmission and more engine input power reduce the transmission life?
