Running Pig rich ok...any help will be much appreciated..
I have a 99 TA wiht an A4. I have installed the Gernatelli MAF, MAF Translator, TTS long tube Headers and Whisper Air lid with K&N filter(not too many major mods). I have purchased Autotap sofware, and LS1 Edit. Ever sence the Header install I have been running pig rich. I have tryed to adjust maf tables and Injector pulse width tables to no avail. PCM still sets a insuffisant switching codes as well as slow responce codes(checked for vaccume leaks and exhaust leaks to find none). I have rear O2 simms installed and get codes for no activity for the post cat O2s.
Just reciently the car started to surge at idle and now has started to act like it is starving for fuel. It will act like a carb would when and injector pump is bad.
If there is anyone that can help with this issure it would be much appreciated. If anyone would like to look at my Edit file I would send it to ya...PLEASE HELP.....

Re: Running Pig rich I also have a similiar problem....I have the macs with off road y-pipe, k&n FIPK, LS6 intake, and have removed the smog pump, and Air tubes, and my car seems to be running really rich. And i've also lost about 50 miles to the tank. Through some research on the site, I found that I would probably need the 02 sims to help this out. Because of the closed loop system. So, I got them and haven't noticed any change. I have edit and autotap...but I don't know where to start. Maybe we have a similiar problem??????

Re: Running Pig rich i have the same problem but all i have is the mac headers, offroad y and cats and i'm lucky to get 150miles to a tank. i had P0420 and P0430 codes. and i was also told by the guy the checked the codes that i have a #8 cyl. misfire but he said there weren't any codes for that. i'm gonna try o2 sims first. if you guys figure something out would you let me know, i'm stumped. thanx

I may just remove the headers and scrap the idea of running headers if this is the result of running them.

Re: Running Pig rich The EFI live software isn't flakey. The software just reports the targeted a/f that the PCM thinks it is getting to.
As for the running rich with headers.
What are your Lterms?
If you are absolutely positively sure that there are no exhaust leaks, or bad O2's on the vehicle, then there is an easy fix for this.
