what to do with ATAP after H/I install hey guys. i just reinstalled my intake and heads. is there something i can monitor with ATAP to look for leaks (weak pressure) or something like that? maybe oil PSI or intake manifold pressure? till now i've just used ATAP for A/F reading and DTC's. i've had perpetual bad luck with this project, so i'm trying to cover all my bases. thanks.

Re: what to do with ATAP after H/I install The first indicator of a vacuum leak would be weird Idle Air Control readings. A vacuum leak will cause the IAC motor to close as it tries to maintain idle (closed = 0). Typical readings are 30-60. If the IAC is below 30 in drive at idle, you may have a vacuum leak. Then kick on the A/C system, and you should see the IAC jump up.
Your LT Fuel Trims can also tell you if you have an exhaust leak - if one side goes whack when compared to the other (say, -2 on left side, +23 on the right side, the right side would have a leak <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> ).
