Bad turn signal switch?? Help please!!
Also, the blue high beam dash light stays on. When I click on the high beams it goes off. When I click on the low beams it goes back on. It works *** backwards but the external heads lights work fine.
I have been asking around and the answer I get is the turn signal switch in the steering column is bad.
Anyone ever have a bad TS switch and what were your symptoms? I just want to be re-assured before I rip the steering column apart.
Any thoughts?
TIA Tom

Swap the turn signal bulbs from side to side and see if the problem moves...
It sounds like a bad bulb to me...

George, both bulbs work equally bad. The symptoms are equal on the left and right. And what about the blue high beam light? Why would a bad turn signal bulb cause the blue high beam light to act up?

Hmmm... I know you had a lot of the wiring out doing your cage install, but I can't imagine what would cause those symptoms you're having.
Have you checked all of the fuses?
The steering wheel and steering column was laying on the floor for 2 months during a 10 point cage install. The turn signal lever could have been bumped or jarred during this time.
I'm going to change the multi purpose switch.
Anyone else ever had a bad turn signal switch. If so, what was your symptoms?
TIA
Tom
