Default PCM/Tuning ??

I posted this a couple different places. Forgive me, because noone seems to know much about it.

I recently un-installed my superchips tuning,
because I will be installing my ATI PSC1 SCProcharger soon(need to get my back operated on soon). I wanted to re-install the superchips tuning, because it will be a little while before I can install the ATI. Halfway thru the program
download, is says call superchips, and my truck wouldn't start. I called them, I dis-connected the battery cables, and 1/2 hour later it started. I took it out for a spin, and it went
right past the 97 MPH speed limiter of the
stock PCM program(it went till about 110 and I shut it down.) which means the superchips !speed limiter was in there as I selected on the tuner options when I started the tuning download to the truck.
My Q is, how can I tell if I have any of the superchips tuning still in there?
I have Autotap AT123, and I know how to look at timing, and KR and a few other things. Is there a way to look at my log and see if the timing is the stock or the superchips program?? I don't want the superchips tuning in there when I get my ATI on.
I am going to buy LS1Edit, but I wanted to wait at least a couple more months for $. Sorry so long, and thank you very much for any help I get. I am kinda worried about it. Sam

I have a superchips tuner for my 97 5.7l Sierra and it would seem if the rev limiter is OFF the superchips program is definately ON board. Can you not log back into the PCM and try and unload the chips program and put the stock one back in ????

Yea, unfortunately, when I plug it back in, it asks me if I want to install the tuning. This means it is saying I have the stock program in my truck PCM. I am looking at my Autotap logs from when I had the tuning installed, to see if it looks different now. I don't think I had any WOT runs on it though, which is kinda important.

Wooohh... now that poses a whole nother mess... what did Superchips have to say.... were they any help at all... have they seen this before. If you attempt to load whatever program you have in the tuner you could end up with a real mess.... or maybe not .. you may have to send it back to them just to anyalize what is in the tuner before you do anything.

just a few ?s for you is your truck a auto. If so does it shift softer or the same? did you do any changes for larger tires or gears?if so is your speedo still working? Either way the tuner you have still will have a stored performance program in it. I would plug it back in and reprogram again you should not have any problems.after the install you should be able to go back to stock if you please.

I forgot Iput 87 gas or 89 the last time I put gas in it, so the logs will be no good that I just did. I was getting alot of KR at WOT with this gas(like 5 degrees to 7 at worst)
I can't really tell by looking the timing advance on Autotap. I am afraid to try to install whatever is in the tuner back into the truck, because it may kill my truck.
I have no idea what the hell tuning is in it now.
Superchips were no help at all, except when they found out I forgot apply the emerg brake(it shuts off the drls) they now say it's my fault, and I even have to pay for them to return it to me (S&H)
I am really un impressed weith these idiots. I should jhave known better than to use their ****. I asked Q's before I bought the sob, and they were not helpful either. This is an auto, yes, and I hadn't done any changes except the ! speed limiter, and then I selected to install superchips tuning, and thats when it crashed halfway thru.
Please advise someone if they want to put one of these on their truck. This could be a huge headache, that I may have to take it to the dealer to be re-flashed, and prolly have to pay for that. It did seem to make it run well, over the rpm band, not just at WOT, so I liked it when it ran right. Just want to make sure this crap is not in my PCM when I put my ATI on.
