extending MAFT wires...
Since the signals into and out of a MAF translator are essentially digital, extending the length of the MAFT wires a few feet would be ok. If you are contemplating making changes from the cockpit while underway, that seems like a bad idea to me.
I have not done this, so I am just passing along what I have read. someone did a complete "How To" write up on installing a Halltech AFR1 inside the armrest console that is between the seats on a Corvette C5. In case you are unfamiliar, the AFR1 is Halltech's version of a MAFT.

The reason I'm asking is this, I run a 150 shot dry on my stock fuel system. In order to get my O2's good and eliminate KR I have to max out my MAFT. But my car loads up during burnouts with the MAFT set this high, it won't rev over 4000 so my burnouts completely blow, especially with a 4400 converter. I would just spin them longer but my car really starts to heat up quick. So if I could set the MAFT normal during the burnout then adjust it before I stage it would be perfect.
