Default O2 extentions???

my passenger side O2 extention was broken when the engine was installed in the car. Right now i have the O2 and extention taped together. Could this be giving me a bad reading. I plan on buying a new extention for the passenger side I just dont know what length I need for the SLP longtubes. I replaced the O2 on that side cause I wasnt getting a reading from the O2 I'm starting to think I need to replace that extension right away. Could this be why my car is in Open Loop right now. I put the new O2 in and resetted the computer and the SES light came on after I restarted the car for the first time.

A correct measurement of resistance is needed for the O2 to properly measure A/F. So I think splicing is not such a good idea. Not to say it won't work temporarily, but I would get another wiring harness.

SLP sent me two 24 inch extensions with my headers, so...I don't know if a shorter one will do.
