Default Deleting EGR w/ls1 edit and emmisions testing

I have been wondering if anyone has experimented with emmisions testing a 98-00 ls1 with a ls6 intake and NO EGR installed. This of course would have ls1edit deleted EGR code from the PCM. The 01-02's have no EGR so that leaves a question, why couldnt 98-00's?

Here in alaska, they plug into your car when testing emmisions for OBD2, if you threw no codes what would be the harm of having no EGR, and would the machine at the emmisions place pick up the EGR being gone vs having the code deleted?

Im curious.

In other words, if I had an ls6 intake on my 99, went to test, do you think I would pass in the pcm area and would the emmisions computer overlook the no EGR thing?

Here are some thoughts/ideas on TURNING THE CODE OFF rather then deleting it and it won't show at emissions time.

I have a 00' SS. I have the stock intake but have the EGR, AIR, Rear O2's, and misfire code deleted with Edit. I was in and out of the Emissions testing station within 5 mins. I had scanned the car with ATap before I went to make sure I didn't have any codes.

I also am running a T1 cam with Hooker LT's and ORY. I couldn't be more emissions ILLEGAL.

hope this helps.
