Re: P1518 PCM to TAC serial data circuit
Helms says it is "loss of data or invalid data between the PCM and the Thottle Actuator Control" (TAC). Also says that if the battery voltage has been low or the PCM has been replaced or reflashed you can ignore the code, other then that it goes on with about 12 tests for a short condition between the TAC and the PCM(any TB work that may have caused a short or bad connection lately?). If it is an old DTC I wouldn't be to concerned.

There is this warning in the LS1prog word document:
-------------------------------------------------
Please note that after reading or reprogramming your PCM, you may get the 'Check Engine' light turned on for the first few miles of driving. This is caused by the read/program causing a hard reset to the PCM (like it was turned on for the very first time). If there are no trouble codes, then this light will go out after you have driven a few miles.
