Will I need tuning??
TEA Stage 2 5.3L Heads, TR 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA Cam, Hooker, FLP or QTP Long tube headers, LS6 intake, ported Throttle Bottle, MSD wires, NGK TR-55's gapped .45, 4.10 gears, 160 degree thermostat and maybe a crank pulley and 85mm MAF.
I have a HPP3+ that I'm using to raise the rev limiter to 6600 rpm, change the gear ratio and change the thermostat. Will I be able to get away without tuning if I drill out the TB and use a MAFT with Atap? I might need more fuel in which case I'll use a Walbro 340 intank. Will that effect anything? What about the 85mm MAF, SLP or GMAF? Thanks for any help- Mike W.

Check out this link... http://www.cs-performance.net/Assets...dyno_large.gif
This is a TEA Stage II TR 224/224 A4 setup we tuned in December. The red curve was with completely stock tuning. These runs were an A4 with the TC locked up. The car was equipped with FLP headers and ORY.
As for the MAF... If you absolutely are set on getting a different MAF I would purchase a 2001 Z06 MAF from GM and have the MAF tables recalibrated for that MAF if you go with custom tuning. The SLP unit is a truck MAF with a resistor soldered in. The reason I suggest 2001 over 2002 is that the screen is still in place on the 2001 units. That may seem undesirable but if you look at 2002 units on Z06 with non-stock intake tracts you will see severe MAF flucutations due to turbulence. It may or may not be an issue on the F-bodies with a lid but the screen isn't going to cost you anything significant.
