Default How much timing made the most power for you?

Hey there, I'm playing around in ls1edit and will be at the dyno tomorrow to do some tuning. I've got a few programs to play with from a couple of different places. One got me about 29-30 degrees of WOT timing but it was detonating and pulling back out 5-6 degrees. Another, pretty much locked me at 26.5degrees at WOT and high rpms. I've not tested this one on the dyno yet.

Anyways, what numbers have you found to work the best?

I have never been on a dyno so I can't tell you for sure, but I can go by max advance without knock.

For me, with my higher compression (11.1:1) I "think" I remember it at just about 26 like yours is. Anymore and I think I started to get knock retard.

I still have more tuning to do (it seems like it never ends ) but sofar that has been working. I know the increase from close to stock to 26 really gave the car a kick in the butt.......it scared me the change was so much.... .

as the old saying goes...."***** to the wall my son....***** to the wall...."
