IAC counts at zero before and after drilling the TB?
I monitored the iac counts via Autotap. The counts were at 0 after the install and was told that they should be between the 10-45 at hot idle. So, I backed the idle screw as far off as it could possibly go , so the throttle blade was flush with the TB. I checked the size of the original hole, which I found was 5/32. I drilled to 3/16ths and checked the iac's... still at 0. Now I went a step bigger, 7/32nds... the counts would start at 45 and slowly make there way to 0.
I didn't want to continue drilling, because I don't think it's necessary... but I'm not sure. What do you guys think? My car idles fine whether it was before or after drilling there has been no change to the idle and the iac's are still zero. Needless to say this has been frustrating.... what should I do?
BTW the car is a 2000 m6 Z28...the only SES code I'm getting is p0300, which is expected after a cam install with no tuning

When the IAC count is at 0, it means the TB hole is too big......when you went and drilled it more, you only made it worse.
You have 4 options that I know of:
1) Leave it alone and don't touch it ever again.....I know....sucks.....I hate leaving things not right
2) Raise the idle speed (LS1Edit) and see where the IAC get to 30
3) Plug the hole and redrill it. ACE has little rivits that are almost like solder (I think they are called "tinners rivits") that you can put in the hole, smash over, grind flush, and then start at the bottom (no hole) and work up. I know this from doing it a number of times .
4) Get a new TB blade and start from there.
Depending on what TB you have, #4 might be the best bet. I have a BBK TB and at $3** a piece for the TB, the cost to replace the blade was too much so I went with #3.
Good luck.....this is going to drive you nuts...

Just for peace of mind try checking the IAC with EFILiveV5.
You can download it and use it free with your AutoTap (V1 or V2) cable.
The evaluation version will give you 5 seconds of data which is enough time to see your IAC counts.

My ATAP windows version read my IAC's at 0. Then I tried the DOS version and it read fine. Or, try looking at the "desired IAC position" in windows that read fine for me.
FWIW, my IAC's are in the 55-60 range with that same cam in my '01 T/A M6.
