Bogus Speed Limiter Whats up with having to pay $349.00 bucks just to disable my friggin speed limiter. I don't need any of that other crap because I don't have an automatic. I just want to go to Maxton NC and run flat out without the dang thing shuttin down on me at 160. Is that true that the 2002 SS's will shut down at that speed? Any help would be much appreciated. Does anybody know about the Land Speed course down in Maxton NC? I haven't read anything about it on this site. Everybodys into Draggin and raggin hard on their equipment. How about runnin her wide open for a mile stretch with a mile shut down area and see what the top speed is. Check out www.ecta-lsr.com cool!
Re: Bogus Speed Limiter I thought it was set to 165. You should check with a speed shop that has LS1edit; just to change that one thing they shouldn't charge you that much. As far as running the land speed course, sounds like fun. I live close to the Bonneville Raceway, so I've been thinking about it too. If you do that make sure you have a lot of air presure in your tires (maybe 40 psi,) and they are Z-rated. Also, if a tire has ever been repaired, it loses it's speed rating. I think I'll wait until I have my roll cage and harness installed though; a lot of things can happen too fast at that speed.

We do all the basic PCM modifications for $75. We only charge our full pricing if we have to touch any fuel or timing tables.
