Anyone here use Thunder Racing "Mail Order" tuning?
I know lots of folks have sent there PCMs to Ed Wright with good results (except he locks the PCM) <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" />
How bout Thunder Racing?
Just wondering what my chances are of a pretty good tune.
Thanks,
Somebody out there must have used them for mail order tuning. Geoff told me they have done lots of them.
Any input would be much appreciated.
Well, I was unable to get the PCM off to Thunder yesterday, but will on Monday.
I e-mailed JFM about his PCM tuning from Thunder. Hope he will get back to me.
BTW, I see you have a TR220 also. Did you need any tweeking of your PCM?
I have drilled the hole in the TB slightly, but the car will still die if idled in Drive for more than about 30 seconds. My car runs very strong, but I feel some tuning is really needed on this car. The car is also running a little too rich.
Plus, I have removed the AIR, EGR and rear O2 sensors, so I of course have a full time SES light.
Thanks,
Ron

Thunder Race did a great job on my tune. They don't "lock" your PCM which means if you ever buy or have access to Edit you can make changes.
If you make changes, for the cost of shipping they will reset it,they removed all my SES lights and got my Yank 4400 to lock up perfectly, every time.
