emissions equipment removed, how does the PCM act?
I had headers/duals installed last week, and we didn't install any Cats for them. I also removed the EGR and AIR systems.
I read in the other post that !EGR is basically useless on a stock cammed LS1 with the way it screws with timing and all. Because of this post I will be putting my EGR back on this week.
Well my question is, after removing the rear O2's, EGR, and AIR (removed the pump, hoses and took out the fuse)......THEN reconnecting the EGR system, will the PCM somewhat make it run better? I do understand that it will take a while for it to "fix" anything, after modifying the car.
Im just reconnecting the EGR for a temporary thing, till i get LS1edit and actually know how to use it.

The air pump will not cause any problems.
The cats will not cause any problems
The EGR *may* cause problems, but if the car runs fine with it off, then I would just leave it off. Just be sure to check your KR with autotap or some other scanner.
Good Luck,
Kevin
