If this is not plugged in, or making a good connection, your car will not run *properly*. It will still run, but with some issues.

what sensor is this? it is located on the drivers side of the block, in front of the #1 cylinder's exhaust primary(in front of the header-its right next to the hole where you bolt the headers on). looks like the brass part screws into the head, and theres an 3 prong electrical connector that connects to it. anyhow, does anyone know what it is or what it does?
Re: what sensor is this? and let me take a guess, you have a 98 f-body. This sensor was replaced with a 2 wire version on the 99+ cars to my knowledge. The third wire is for the dash temp display gauge. The 99+ are computer "idiot gauges"
