Any LS1Edit/Dyno Tuning advice or tips?
My intentions are to maximize the cars potential and squeeze as much HP out of the car.

LS1 Edit Checklist
Transmission
· Torque Management (TM) – Delete
· TM usually affects the shifts since on the shift it pulls timing to ease the effect on the transmission.
A simple way is with edit and go to SPARK RETARD LIMIT and just set the cells from say 5000-6400 (depends on where you shift at WOT) to say 20 so timing doesn’t drop below that on the shifts
Shift Points
· WOT 1-2 Up Shift – 6400 RPM’s
· WOT 2-3 Up Shift – 6200 RPM’s
· WOT 3-4 Up Shift - 6100 RPM’s
· Rev Limiter – 6500 RPM’s
Line Pressure – Increase minimal 25-50% for part throttle and WOT shifts.
Shift Time – Decrease to shortest time possible (all shifts).
TCC – raise lockup point
Emissions
· Cat over Temp (COT) - Delete
Engine
· IAC – change to smooth idle
· Electric Fan Temp - #1 Fan – 185 degrees, #2 Fan – 200 degrees.
· MAF Table -??
· Speedometer – recalibrate as necessary for new tires (Slightly smaller in diameter)
· Ignition Timing – increase to 28 degrees at WOT
· Knock Sensors – Desensitize slightly ?
Leave the fan temps alone: Messing with the fan temps will cause them to stay on most of the time. Believe it or not, but your car actually has more drag and alot more frontend lift with the fans on. If you are going to change the fan temps, change the thermostat first to coincide with the fan temperatures.
Don't mess with the KR: If you do your timing table properly then you won't need to desensitize KR. The KR sensitivity should be your benchmark for where you can advance, and where you need to reduce your timing.
You may already know, but you need to use your PE table to modify your fueling while on the dyno.
Also, you left out that you need to get your LTerms to slightly negative. This is absolutely imperative that you do this PRIOR to adjusting WOT fueling. If you neglect this, then you basically have done dyno tuning for nothing, because your tune will be totally different once the LTerms change.
Good Luck,
Kevin
I currently have a lower T-stat with a HPPIII set at the temps. You're right about them running alot.
Once again thanks the help.
