Need help tuning a 98 M6 car with cam
Need help tuning a 98 M6 car with cam I just got edit and i was wondering if anybody could help me out with get my car to run more efficently than it is. I have the lingenfelter gt1 cam with .560 .560 lift 218in 229ex dur. 113 lobe sep. If possible could any body send me a ls1 file to start a base line to tune for my cam. Thanks

Re: Need help tuning a 98 M6 car with cam Your base file will have to come from your PCM. You can screw up your computer if you try using someone else's. Just do a read on your PCM, and save it as something you will remember, then do all your changes after that. You'll also need a data logger of some type, so you know where to correct. You should monitor the following on a few long drives, and record them. Then export it to an excel spreadsheet so you can see what your engine is doing when:
LTfuel trims (both B1 and B2)
O2 sensors (B1S1 and B2S1)
Throttle position
RPM
Knock Retard
Ignition timing advance
For starters, you would like the O2s at or around .890 at WOT, LT fuel trims as close to 0 as possible at partial throttle, and timing advance as high as possible at WOT without any KR. 28 degrees is a good number to start with.
