temp. gauge acting up

temp. gauge acting up i have a 2000 Z28 and the temp. gauge
does not move up until it is wormed up
(190-200 degrees)
and it falls way below 100 when cold
does anyone have any ideas?
i have not looked at it yet
but i think it is the gauge it self
any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Re: temp. gauge acting up My car does the same thing, the needle sits below the temp settings until it warms up. I don't see a problem with it. Have you replaced your gauge face? If so you might have not put the needle back into it's correct position. If that is the case I would have it re-calibrated.

it just started doing that about 3 weeks ago
on my other camaro i put little chevy bowties
on the center of each gauge needle
(silver ones) awsome looking.
but any way i have not checked into it yet
been busy at work
just thought i would get some responses
