Default Having problems with connecting to autotap

I just bought autotap and my usb serial converter won't let me connect. Autotap trys to register the hardware and it keeps on saying that hardware sn is not register for use with software. I have a belkin usb to serial converter. Is there any special settings or any conveerters that work better or at all.

Belkin is not the best USB adapter to use; do a search on this, I can't remember what the good brand was.

Make sure you have the latest software from the autotap website, not the version shipped on the cd.I had the same problem and this fixed it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

A Keyspan adapter will probably solve this. It did for me, and lots of others. I did a search to find this out.
