Wanting to learn......
Most of us here have learned what we know just from this forum, and talking with eachother and experimenting on our own cars.
Key things to remember are make small changes... don't go in and change every table and then hope you did everything 100% correct.
Also remember that as you do the tuning, any questions you have are probably answered here, if not you can post up and will generally receive an answer pretty quickly.
Read alot, search the forums, buy a tuning software package and play with it everyday, ask questions on the forums (ls1tech.com, hptuners.com, efilive.com).
There is a learning curve, but you'll master it; start by tuning on your own car and progress from there.
You won't regret jumping into this 'other universe'.
EFIU has different instructors depending on the region. They tend to set up class at dyno shops equipped with either a Dynapack or Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno. These tend to be the best options for steady state tuning. I see there's a class @ Dyno4mance in Calhoun, GA. Check out the schedule. http://www.efi101.com/schedule.html
Good luck to ya!
