Default Changing Shift Point With LS1 Edit!

Do you need to change just the RPM, or MPH and RPM to get the desired shift point you want?

Are we talking WOT shifts?

I've had better luck getting shifts where I want them by using MPH, believe it or not. It should be easier the other way (lower the speed enough to ensure that it satisfies first and rely on the RPM initiate the shift) but I haven't had much luck doing that. If you know the slip characteristics of your converter in the neighborhood of your target shift points (i.e. the relationship between RPM and MPH in your particular application), it's almost as easy to compute the desired shift speed.

I guess I don't really see what the design logic is behind having two constraints that are almost "equivalent".

Topless Texan, I was talking about WOT shifts.

The RPM doesn't work for me. I have to change MPH to change shift points. I don't know why it won't work.

Good, I assumed that in the post above. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
