PCM tuning options with a 98...
TIA,
Joe
I may have been the one that started that nasty rumor. It seems the very early model 98s need to have the PCM reflashed at the dealership with the latest revision in order to get LS1Edit to recognize the PCM.
After I had this done, Thunder Racing was able to program it like any other LS1.
Yours may need a PCM re-flash, but, it may not need it too.
Ron,
The worst that can happen is that you will have to pay a dealer about $55 to re-flash the PCM before your LS1Edit will work. After that, everything will be fine.
Again, your car is a late year 98. I doubt you will need a re-flash at all. (my car was built in Aug 97)
