Questions about routing the MAFT inside the car I want to put my MAFT through the hole in the fire wall and into the glove compartment. This will make the car more sleeper, and easier to tune. I want to splice the wires and use 16 gauge wiring since I already have these wires. I also want to use quick disconnects instead of soildering them together because I'm lazy. Will this work or am I going to have to do things the hard way?

i would solder,and shrinktube the splices
so you dont run into problems,you are working
with wires that has MHZ signals that run threw
it so you want a good sealed connection
there is a hole with a big rubber gromet
in it on the pass. side firewall
under the pcm,easy to use and perfect for
the glovebox application.

Re: Questions about routing the MAFT inside the car You'll have all kinds of problems with the MAF if you have wires on it that are that long. Its been tried before w/ little to no success.

We actually sell extensions for the translators and i ran min with 6' extensions and it was fine.. it through the reading off some, so i just adjusted
