will LS1live Pro work on a non-LS1 engine?

will LS1live Pro work on a non-LS1 engine? I think the LS1live Pro is my best choice for my 2002 Camaro but my wife has a 2002 Intrique and I would like to be able to at least scan and reset codes on her car.
Does anyone know if LS1live Pro will do those basic functions?

Re: will LS1live Pro work on a non-LS1 engine? It probably will; it works on my 2002 Duramax powered Heavy Duty truck. Only about a third of the PIDs, but I think all the basic stuff worked. It scaned for codes but I didn't have any to reset.

I was thinking it should work as a basic scanner and code reader just would not access anything but basic parameters, but I could never find any documentation of that. I did not want to get Autotap w Enhanced Parameters for close to the same price.

Re: will LS1live Pro work on a non-LS1 engine? Both EFILive Std and Pro are fully functional GM generic scan tools (i.e. for SAE J1850 VPW only).
Which means they will scan generic parameters, scan and clear trouble codes and display emissions tests' results for all GM OBDII vehicles.
Specifically for the LS1, both Std and Pro:
- provide enhanced parameters for LS1 vehicles.
The only difference between the Pro and Std versions is that the Pro version provides bi-directional controls for LS1 vehicles.
