Default New motor tuning??

I will be putting my new motor in within the next month. My question is about the initial tune. Is it ok to start the motor on the old tune to make sure it will fire? Is it ok to break in a new motor on a dyno? Thanks for any suggestions.

I would not reccomend breaking in the motor on a dyno doing WOT passes, however if you wanted to do breakin miles on a dyno, i have heard of this being done in the past. If you don't have a dyno for free, it is probaly going to cost a lot

What changed from the 'old motor' to the 'new motor'?

One thing I can say off the bat is if you changed injectors to a different size the computer will need to be retuned for them before firing your new combo.

Well I basically just converted my old hydraulic cam motor to a solid roller cam motor. I did up the injectors though. I have LS1 edit and could change the injectors settings but other then that I'd prefer to let a professional do my tuning.
