Default Wideband o2 placement?

I'm getting an o2 bung welded in, since I went with an off-road Y-pipe, so it'll be there when I get it tuned...

Does it really matter where I have it put?...Main question is, is it ok if I just get it mounted on one side of the pipe, or should I have it put in the "Y" for a more accurate reading?

Thanks,

-Will

it needs to be before the cats and not at the bottom of the pipe

as mentioned. pre-coat is preferred and it should not be perpendicular to the ground

I've read a few things about post cat being ok but don't know for sure and don't have the means to validate it

Also from my experience doesn't matter if it's in the Y or before the Y... I have mine right in the collector of my drivers side and works fine....

If you put it in the Y (or rather I) then it's a blend of both sides and much cooler... plus can't correct just one side or the others on these cars... so blended or one side only doesn't seem to matter much

my post was slightly incorrect.... ace put it better sensor can't be pointed towards the ground (water accumalates there and can kill the sensor)

I meant the same thing w/my perpendicular statement ... though putting it up top is ok, so my statement isn't 100% accurate heh
