Default Mounting my new 3 BAR MAP

Hey guys, I've got my new 3 BAR MAP sensor, the one from MSD ignition out of summit racing. Anyways, it requires a different connector than the factory one has and it's freaking big so where do I mount the 3 bar map and how do I hook up the wiring to it? Any questions would be badass, since it's the last thing I need for my incon setup before I crank it!!!!

Just take a razor blade or exacto knife and cut new slots in existing connector to match 3 bar map plug slots. Sensor A is sensor ground, B is vacuum/boost signal and C is +5V Ref.

Oops, that razor blade/exacto thing wont work, I was thinking L98 engines. Go to a parts store and get a MAP sensor plug for a '91' F or Y body 5.7L for a 1 bar if a 3 bar is not available. Then you can do the cutting thing. A MAP sensor should be mounted level or higher then the plenum to prevent moisture drainage into it, as short of a vacuum/boost line as possible and do not "T" anything into that line for the best signal.

How do I mount the thing on the back of the intake though, since it's so big and it doesn't come with an orange little boot on it like the factory one. Do I hook it to a vaccum line and then connect it to the intake? Thanks for the input, and anything you guys can tell me would be badass!!!!

this might seem like a stupid question, but if your running in SD without a MAF, what would the car run like if the 3 BAR MAP was hooked up wrong? I'm guessing like ****, but would it run real rich, or would it run at all?

I'm getting ready to install a 3 bar map as well in a few weeks. I came accross this link http://hhscott.com/93tmv/3-bar_map.htm that has the breakout for the 3 bar map sensor wiring at the bottom of the page. As for the stock MAP sensor wiring, I'm curious about that as well.

I got a copy of the GM service manual for an 01 F-body and the wiring diagram identifies the stock map wiring as follows:

A Tan Low Reference (ground)
B Lt Grn MAP Sensor Signal
C Gry 5v reference

Edited to include pic of connector.
