Tuner software question A group of us are looking to purchase some tuning software (EFILive or HPTuners)
I know you can have the program installed on several PCs/Laptops, but what about the interface cables, does each person have to buy their own cable (for their specific year/car), or can 2 people use the same cable (provided it's the same year/model)

hptuners allows you to either vin lock or buy year/model licenses...with 1 purchase you could vin lock up to 4 cars or buy 1 year model license & 1 vin locked license. You can load the software into as many computers as you'd like but the licenses go with the hardware so wherever it goes the licenses go. You get one cable with your purchase...if you want another one you'll have to front another $499 or $649.
