Crane/Vinci question I'm using thre Crane handheld, before I did my cam swap I was very satisfied with it. I did my cam install yesterday and the car runs great but will not idle without help. The engine surges and dies, I can feather the throttle and let it ease down to an idle then it's fine. I'm using the "cam 3" setting and bumped idle speed up 200 rpm. Does anyone have experience with this handheld and any suggestion on how to get the idle right? Mods in sig 
What idle parameters does it let you adjust besides idle speed? You need more than that to get it to idle correctly. Also keep in mind when you flash the PCM it will take a little time to get it to idle because it needs to relearn the idle positions in P/N with and without A/C and in Gear with the A/C on.
FWIW - With your mods I would seriously look at EFILive or HPtuners so you have complete control over the PCM unlike handhelds with canned tunes. The cost is more than worth it and will pay for itself almost immediately.

As far as idle goes speed is all you can adjust. They have generic tunes for several different cam profiles built in, but I'm not sure what changes are made.
How long does it take to relearn the idle settings? It has been slowly improving.

It is still improving now it will find an idle about 50% of the time. I talked with the guys over at RWTD today and set up an appointment for a dyno tune, the soonest they can get to it is April 7th, I'll just have to live with it til then.
