Stall/bog - no downshift
I Just bought the car and it needed a tune due to a cam. I had it tuned and it was much better, but it has the weird bog when you punch it from 30 or so. It dosnt die out, but it accelerates really slow. It feels like it is in top gear with the converter locked and it should be downshifting but it doesnt. It was doing it from slow rolls and sometimes even from a dead stop. It would roll out hit about 10 mph then slow down. It did this even before the tune but was hard to notice then. The car threw a TPS code and we replaced that, but now it is throwing a code again. I am going to take it back tommorow and see what the current code is, just trying to get some insight as to what the other problem could be.

If it's got a stock stall and 3.23 gears, you could just be in the low end of 2nd gear. That's why some cams suggest using a bigger stall. Then again, I'd check with whoever tuned it and see if they forgot to reset something as mentioned above.

Okay. I did a log of a short run. The car is shifting directly into 4th and then back down after a few seconds. If anybody thinks they can help I have an EFIlive lo of the run I can send you. Email me at mzoomora@msn.com
