PCM Swap questions.
PCM Swap questions. I want to know from the guys who have done it. I have searched and not really found what I am looking for. I am building the car in my sig. Its a 98 Z28. I want to be able to use the 2 or 3 bar SD features of the tuning software available. I am interested in swapping the PCM out of my car that that of a 2000 Z28.
What has to be done? Just the PCM and engine harness? Or do I have to change all the under dash harnesses and guage cluster and all that? I dont mind spending the $$$. I figure it will be cheaper than running BS3. This is my street car first, race car second.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Definately you will need the PCM, Engine Harness, and Dash Cluster ... weather you need a different BCM or Dash Harness, I do not know.
If you are swapping OS, why not go all the way up to 2002 or at least 2001.

I dont know. I found a 2000 PCM and harness for $350. Swapping the PCM engine harness and dash cluster is no biggie. I just dont want to have to change the under dash harness if I dont have to. I guess if it is a must I could do a 10pt cgae while it is out. hmmmm.
Surley some has done this and can chime in with specifics.
