Default Part throttle tunning?

I am completely lost again... I got the idle pretty squared away and I am going to start tunning part throttle now and once again I don't know where to start. Some say to tweak the maf others say to tweak the maf and VE table at the same time. You guys have been a big help so far, please point me in the right direction again.

Unplug the MAf and tune VE then plug it back in and tune MAF. Be sure to copy high octane spark to low octane spark.

I have tried to use the "VE tuning speadsheet" by redhardsupra and I'm running into a problem when I go to make changes on my VE table. It says to take the results and multiply them on top of your exsisting table, when i do this I get a HUGE change, and it doesn't look right? Am I doing something wrong?

VE table tuning cliffsnotes.

Set error codes P101,102, and 103 to MIL on first error.

Copy/Paste High octane spark to low octane spark.

Set MAF FAIL frequency to 0 (or unplug the MAF).

Log LTFT and STFT for about 20 minutes.

Use histogram to see what VE cells need changing.

Copy LTFT histogram, and right click "paste special," "ADD values" to your VE table. Then do the same with the STFT histogram.

Personally, I copy/paste into a blank excel spreadsheet. Add the LTFT and STFT together, multiply by 50%, then "paste special" into the VE table.

Reset LTFT in your scanner. Drive for 50 miles.

That'll get your LTFT close to zero. When I'm close, I aim for -2 instead of zero.

Technically, since LTFT are a percent, for a value of -10, you "should" multiply the VE cell by 90%. But, since all the VE cells are around 70 or 80 or so, using 50% of the difference gets you close.

And that's all you're trying to do, get closer to zero or -2 for your LTFTs.

My LTFT's are at 15% at idle but it is pig rich at idle. Is this just because it thinks it's lean and is dumping more fuel or do I have another problem here?

Pardon my ignorance when I ask this - but do you mean multiply by 50%, as by 0.50? Thanks- just don't wanna jack it up.
