Always getting KR from Predator, why?

Default Always getting KR from Predator, why?

My car (Stock 2002 SS) used to have an automatic. Once I tried a predator tune from the HPTuners bin repository, it was a bin from a stock car with just a predator tune. It pinged a lot and had a lot of KR. This was with 93 octane.
So I took it back out.
Now I changed the car to a manual trans and found a stock M6 tune with Predator at the same site, and same thing, it pings a lot.

Does this need to run in there for a while to relearn it or something?
I took the last predator tune out and went back to stock.

I had the same problem with my predator tune. when i got my car dyno'd we heard it pinging. he just told me to put it back to stock and he'll tune for me.

before i took it back you him i tried to adjust some stuff but could never get it right. good luck.

I got KR with mine too...and sometimes I even got it with the stock timing table around 4000~4800 RPM. I think GM kinda threw that table together, got it 95% correct and then called it quits. There's actually a section around 4,000 RPM and .76 grams/cyl where if you increase airflow, the timing goes UP! The whole table shows timing decreasing (with RPM constant) except this one spot. So, as soon as you up the airflow/increase the grams/cyl. (ie-lid, catback, headers, etc.) it's that much easier to get KR at WOT. Wonderful, ain't it?

Well I guess I'm not the only one.
I did use the compare feature on HPTuners and the only things the predator changes is the timing advance. And Shift duration, pressure in A4 cars. It adds torque reduction in manual trans cars. Glad I didn't pay for that garbage.
